Lutze introduces 600V rated 2-Pair Industrial Ethernet
LUTZE is pleased to announce the latest addition to our Ethernet cable portfolio, item #104197. This new cable is a 2-Pair Ethernet cable with multiple approvals for AWM 600V, PLTC, CMR, and CMX Outdoor. This new cable meets that need and is ideal for customers who are expanding their plant floor networks to the device level or are implementing IIoT / Industrie 4.0 technology in their facilities.
LUTZE’s new 104197 2-Pair Ethernet:
- Expands on last year’s introduction of 104349 by adding a 2-pair, Cat5e construction.
- Designed to simplify field wiring and provide a high value solution for 100Mb/s Ethernet.
- Fully compatible with field-wireable RJ45 and M12 connectors.
- Rated for multiple environments: AWM 600V rated for use alongside 600V power cables in NFPA 79 machines and UL 508A electrical panels, PLTC Listed for use in Power Limited sections of cable tray, CMR, CMG and CMX Outdoor listed for multiple uses.
LUTZE Announces Ethernet Cable for “Flex and Twist” Applications
LUTZE is introducing two shielded MOTIONFLEX Ethernet cables with teal TPE jacket: #A1040020 CAT5E SF/UTP (4x2xAWG24) and #A1040030 CAT6A SF/UTP (4x2xAWG24).
Suitable applications include moderate linear flexing and torsion (+/- 270⁰), free flexing, and static installations. A rugged TPE jacket provides resistance against many physical and chemical environmental hazards. These cables are UL Listed Type CMR, CMX Outdoor and UL Recognized AWM 2463 80°C 600V, have Oil Res II and are sunlight resistant. This allows our MOTIONFLEX cables to be installed wherever your application requires. LUTZE MOTIONFLEX cables are versatile, with construction and approvals for both plant and machine level.
With a wide a variety of cables, connectors and connectivity solutions, LUTZE is a complete solutions provider for industrial Ethernet applications. These cables complement LUTZE’s already broad Ethernet cable and connectivity product solutions.
LUTZE INTRODUCES CAT6 UTP ETHERNET CABLE FOR LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DUTY
LUTZE is expanding its industrial Ethernet cable offering and introducing an unshielded Ethernet cable for light industrial duty CAT6 UTP 4X2XAWG23 with PVC jacket (part number A1040001). The cable is intended for use in low noise industrial environments where the effort of installing a shielded cable does not offer any benefit for the application.
The cable has a teal colored jacket and is UL Listed Type CMR, CMX Outdoor and UL Recognized per AWM 21695 600V. It presents an economical solution for industrial environments where commercial grade Ethernet cable will not suffice. The PVC jacket is designed to last longer in industrial environments as it is oil, abrasion and sun light resistant, allowing one cable for applications inside and outside the plant. Suitable for cable tray installation per NEC 800 and 600V rated for installation on the machine and inside the control panel.
Thanks to the center spline design, LUTZE Cat6 UTP offers superior electrical performance exceeding category 6 requirements. Solid copper conductors support easy termination with IDC technology. This cable complements LUTZE’s already broad Ethernet cable and connectivity product solutions.
LUTZE introduces expansion of EMC type shield termination fittings
LUTZE Expands Cable Fittings
LUTZE is pleased to announce the expansion of EMC type shield termination fittings to include sizes for large diameter cables up to 500MCM (75mm OD).
These NPT and metric thread fittings provide effective strain relief and 360° shield termination. They use the same clamp style shield termination method as our smaller EMC fittings for best contact with the shield. Installation is quick and easy, and they are a perfect complement to LUTZE DRIVEFLEX® VFD cables.
LÜTZE has expanded the 10A DC current control module LCOS-CC so that it now has the UL 508 and UL 2367 approvals
With LCOS, LÜTZE has developed an IP20 housing system which can be extended through tool-free plug-in modules, such as the LCOS-CCi, to form a complete and modular I/O system. As a 'Supplementary Protection Device', the LCOS-CC is an intelligent solid state relay circuit breaker that prevents wires and connected devices from overloading and short-circuiting. LÜTZE offers the current control LCOS-CC in two different versions: as a 1-channel, and a 2-channel version.
One of the main advantages of the LCOS-CC is the integrated energy bus and the direct load connection to '+' and '–'. In accordance with the housing philosophy of LCOS Systems, all terminal blocks are pluggable, and therefore suitable for tool-free construction or module replacement. The wiring expenses are thus substantially reduced in comparison to conventional systems. On the input side, the nominal voltage of the LÜTZE LCOS-CC totals DC 24V.
In the 2-channel design, the direct connection of the load is duplicated. Status messages take place as optical and electrical signals for each channel separately, either as collective fault messages or on achievement of the 90 percent utilisation.
In the single-channel version, the fuse has two pins (+,-) and galvanic isolation. All other functions are identical to the 1-channel version.
Background to modular LCOS housing system
The LCOS electronic housing is based on a device carrier that holds the separate housings or the plug-in function units. Plug-in data or power modules with supply options can supply power to the system and permit the construction of a modular data or power bus.
